Loop
International Festival of Video Art

Short film mockumentary.
Book-dvd.
Event.

A project conceived as content for the well-known Barcelona video art festival Loop. Step by step, what we did was: 1. Create a false video artist; not just anyone but Rosko Viruka, the Ukrainian pioneer of video art and video sculpture. 2. Announce a lecture in the festival’s catalogue by the selfsame Mr Viruka. 3. Film a false, 15-minute, documentary short in which we described one of his most significant experiments in the fifties: the Dai Emotikon VideoLektor (a device that transformed his emotions into video art). 4. Exhibit the work 50 years after its creation, after years of silence under the Soviet regime, at an event presented by the artist, in a wheelchair and artificially breathing through an oxygen bottle. Using all the material from this project we edited a book-DVD.
